If a Hong Kong or Macau resident's spouse or lineal relative by blood (parents, children and grandparents) is a Taiwanese citizen with household registration, he/she can apply for Taiwan residence as a dependent relative. His/her spouse and unmarried children under 18 years old can apply as accompanying members.

Staying in Taiwan for one year, during which leaving Taiwan 30 days or less;
   OR
Staying in Taiwan for two consecutive years, during which leaving Taiwan 270 days or less in each year
